Traffic bust leads police to drug haul
FLORESVILLE — Police discovered a supply of prescription medications during a weekend traffic stop.
Pain relievers, migraine medication, antidepressants, and diet pills were among the drugs uncovered in an investigation being conducted by the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department.

Bryan Kristopher Lopez, 20, of Stockdale, was arrested on several misdemeanor counts of possession of a dangerous drug. He was also charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession and driving while intoxicated, according to jail records.
The investigation began with a traffic stop early Saturday morning on U.S. 87 northwest of Stockdale. Lopez was stopped for suspicion of driving under the influence, Wilson County Sheriff Joe Tackitt Jr., said.
Lopez was initially taken into custody because he appeared to be under the influence. A search of his vehicle revealed a slew of medications Lopez had no prescriptions for, Tackitt said.
“Several types of medication were found during an inventory of the vehicle,” Tackitt said.
The inventory uncovered 21.6 grams of Clonazepam, an anti-seizure medication, 2.6 grams of Phentermine, an appetite depressant, and 2.6 grams of Duradrin, which is prescribed for migraines and severe headaches.
Also found were 2 grams of a generic brand of the painkiller Vicodin, and 1.8 grams of acetaminophen, a pain reliever.
The investigation also turned up small amounts of the antidepressant Amitriptyline, as well as Hydrocodeine and marijuana.
An investigation was continuing, Tackitt said Monday.
Lopez was released from the county jail on bonds totaling $36,000.
